Hopkins Room

Hopkins Room (upstairs)- A grand lady named Susan Hopkins built this house. Her original portrait can be found in the downstairs dining room, presiding over all who enter the Reid House. She was very prominent and well known in the town of Palatka, and was the mother-in-law of Dr. Francis Sams, the first licensed doctor in Palatka. Fit for a queen, this room features a queen sized bed, dresser, nightstand and full bathroom. An antique hand painted “Gone with the Wind” parlor lamp at your bedside gives just the right light to read by. Silk drapes conceal a delicious surprise in the corner of this opulent suite. Pull them back to reveal a vintage claw-footed soaking tub which fully faces the wood-burning fireplace. Luxuriate in a scented bubble bath in front of a crackling fire. Rekindle romance with your loved one in this graceful suite.
